<description><![CDATA[<p>ok, now that we have given you a lot of abbreviations, descriptions, etc to review take a minute to break down some of the basic info such as---- oto means?&nbsp; ear, nose, eye, throat--</p>
<p>-it is of course ear so from this anytime you see a term with oto in it you know that it is something pertaining to the ear such as otitis, otalgia, etc.&nbsp; once you get the basic root of the word you can work it out.&nbsp; The assessment you will take has 10% for basic ent so we don't expect you to have the knowledge of your physicians but to recognize the basic terms and procedures that are used daily.&nbsp; each question is multiple choice and you will have 4 answers to choose from.&nbsp; Always answer each question even if you are not sure.</p>

<description><![CDATA[As you go through your day make a mental list of some of the terms and abbreviations you see every day in your clinic or at least hear about--and then think if you know the actual meaning of the term or exactly the procedure that is to be performed.   For example if you know a patient is going to be scheduled for a balloon sinuplasty do you know what this procedure is?  Or if the physician is scheduling a patient for FESS?   Then put this mental list on paper or flash cards which Peggy suggested and use this as a study guide also]]></description>
